SHERI HALE, PT, PHD, ATC

Physical Therapist

Dr. Sheri Hale received her Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Kinesiology from the Pennsylvania State University. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She is licensed in the state of Virginia as a Physical Therapist and an Athletic Trainer. Since completing her formal education, Dr. Hale has attended continuing education courses across the United States each year. She has been engaged in clinical practice since 1999. Most of her clinical experience has been in the areas of orthopedics/sports medicine and pediatrics.


Dr. Hale's research focus is neuromuscular control of the lower extremity. Her research has been published in several professional journals and she has presented both nationally and internationally. Most of her publications and presentations have addressed the clinical management of Chronic Ankle Instability. Dr. Hale also is an associate professor in the Division of Physical Therapy at Shenandoah University and has served as a clinical instructor for Physical Therapy and Athletic Training students.
